It used to have thoughtful diaries that offered individual points of view that were interesting reads that you couldn’t find anywhere else. I just don’t see those anymore. Everything seems to be clickbait titles with pseudo-humorous regurgitations of whatever is breaking on Salon, CNN, or The Atlantic. If I am in the mood for actual mean satire, I’ll go to Wonkette. Every promoted diary is by the same few names, and they are almost all quite boring (except for the ones by that guy who refurbishes old tools — love those). There are so many petition-signing pop ups, Twitter/Facebook/GoFundMe links, etc., I just find myself spending less and less time on this website.
APR is still great, but the rest of the site has really lost its magic.
